I love this book and have read it to my children and grandchildren every year since 1966 on Hannukah after we light the menorah.
Zlateh is a sweet and wonderful story but my favorite is The Grandmother's Tale.
The grandmother in her tale has given me words to live by particularly in through quixotic times: Evil will always make a mistake. I am counting on it. Thinking historically this is absolutely true.
His characters and wisdom glow in every page.
