"Season 2 Review.
People were saying that the Creators were going to fix the problems known in season 1. Guess what? That's false. Everything I mentioned about the first season can be said to the 2nd season.
Ever heard of the show Dragon Booster? released in 2004 that show is better than (Nine Realms) That's how bad Dragons: The Nine Realms is.
Remember this is DreamWorks. A multi-billion dollar company that can stand up against Disney. When you watch this and look back to Puss N Boots, Shrek, Madagascar, Over the Hedge, these movies were 10+ years old and they have better animations than this trash. Even the Netflix TV version of Puss N Boots was loads better than this (2015)
You are a company that has the ability to do better. That is why I give this and the first season 1 star.
Season 1 Review.
~ Some of the 5 star reviews mock and belittle the lower reviews.
I myself did sat down and saw how bad it is I watched all of it too.
These people who gave it a 5 star review are indeed false reviews. They praise it and enjoyed it which is very hard to believe.
Don't take my word for it feel free to watch it and be the judge yourself. I promise you that it doesn't deserve anything above 3 stars. And by no means at all does it deserve a 5 star review.
~ Plot is a big mess.
Character personality shifts far to rapidly. Going from one concept to another and then taking that concept and just throw it away as if it wasn't even a big deal to begin with.
Example: One character is afraid of heights, but manages to ride his newly obtained dragon. As if his fear of heights meant nothing. There was no depth or progress to overcome such a fear, and doing so in such a little amount of time felt wasteful.
~ Animation is a joke. Remember that this is DreamWorks, We all know they can obviously do better.
This was easily a cash grab intended for younger audiences, who sadly may not have the mental capacity to distinguish a good story, animation, and development that goes behind these programs, shows and movies.
I'm not saying this but it's what the Ceo's and Executives will typically say when they have a franchise that millions of people are fond of. So why bother trying to make something good? When we can make it on a budget and dumb down the plot, give characters their own unique personality but lets also scrap and throw away most of those concepts and make it confusing even for adults to follow. Then ship it out to the public and market it towards children while slapping a 22 minute run time per episode.
Kids will find it boring mid way during each episode. Adults will find little to no enjoyment from it. If anything it's something to leave on in the background.
That does not sound like something that deserves a 5 star review now does it?
Any 5 stars out there from this show, will even praise a low budget cash grab that was intended for children.
Don't lie to those who did grew up with DreamWorks Dragons, and encouraging them to watch this. It's a real shame to accept this as something that is "worth watching" 5 stars best thing I've seen.
This series earns a 1 star. Praising it and giving it a 5 star just means it's okay to produce this garbage. You're allowing it to continue if you think this is good. When we all know very well DreamWorks can do better."
I agree with every claim here. This show is hard to watch and in the end is not something I would ever consider watching. I will gladly watch the rest of the films and shows but this is disgusting.
