I love this series! So much fun and highly entertaining. Some really great acting. I am not a basketball fan, heck, I'm not a sports fan at all, and I only chose this to watch with family who are sports fans. i was hoping there would be enough entertainment and backstory to keep me involved beyond the "sports stuff". This show absolutely delivered and even got me excited about the "sports stuff". I grew up knowing most of the big names mostly due to my parents being sports fans so there was some familiarity with characters and events, etc. Even though I'm not well versed on all the history I could very clearly understand they were embellishing for entertainment value. Often the characters are represented as caricatures more than factual representations. But that's because it is a fun piece of entertainment and not a documentary. I don't follow sports and I understood that quite clearly. If you are looking for a 100% accurate historical retelling then go find a documentary. If you enjoy a once-upon-a-time in basketball story roughly based on true event with great acting, excitement and lots of laughs take a chance on this!
