Beowulf reminds us that the millions who do not enjoy the benefits of safety and wealth are forced to fight for survival. Those people most understand the necessity of a Beowulf. It is not a simple reading experience, but it was not constructed for the simple-minded. Beowulf is worth the time and effort. It also glorifies righteousness while exposing evil.
