The movie isn't breaking any new or secret ground. It is exactly what you could expect out of a sonic movie for kids. And as someone that grew up on the games and shows for over 20 years, I can just appreciate that it is a nice mocie and not bash it for being corny. They made these characters how I would view them and didn't do something overly stupid to make it different.
