Save yourself!! Wait until this is free and even then watch it prepared not to care. Hollywood really needs to quit these artsy sales tactics with films. They make you feel like this is an action movie about a viking warrior but in reality its a slow moving, poorly choreographed, 45 minute too long, boring story that you could honestly care less about. Both lead actors Anya Taylor Joy and Skarsgaard are great but sold to a stale use of their talent. They are better than this! You could literally care less about their characters. Defoe is wasted, Hawk shouldn't even be there, and Kidman (like always) overacts her character to where you almost anticipate her death (should you stay long enough to find out it it even happens). It's ok to be an action movie where the lead character is a ferocious male (he's a viking!) that seeks ravenous vengeance on his foes. What ever happened to fast paced choreography anyway? Real action that keeps you engaged! Are we too PC now and all your hollywood intelligence says "Oh...nobody wants to see that!" Sure! Thats why all of these movies are bombing. But hey, you know best hollywood. Just keep going. We'll eventually catch on and just accept the stodgy trifle you continuously force feed us. We should thank you and not be so ungrateful for such art as we are uncultured. We bow. In summary (unless you need more) this is a slug fest (not the fun kind) that lacks engagement, excitement, fear, or worry for any of its characters with poor dialog, a trash script, and action that teens could do better choreographing in their backyard. Dont spend the money. Ever! I forbid you! And shame on hollywood for continuously slinging this trash!
