Noah Bond

This book is an amazingly written short story,with the story getting darker and darker as it continues.This book perfectly captures the paranoia and terror of the period of the start of the cold war and the aftermath of World War 2.The setting is also ominous in its wording. I personally love a joke my friend made up as he read this book "clocks ticking"(I dont know if its just my dark sense of humor or Im an idiot but that just made me laugh).Anyway this books grasp on personificaition is astounding and I thought I was gonna cry when the house was burning.In conclusion this book is amazing but its no short story to tell kids at bedtime unless you want damp sheets to wake up to.
