True to the original animated series, almost beat for beat. (That said, it's been a while since I watched the animated). It has heart and a low key kind of goofy humor that's great for kids (or adults still feeding their inner child.) Great casting all around. CGI blended well enough to not throw me out of the story too badly like sometimes happens in other fantasy movies or shows. Here's hoping we get more seasons. (And that the writers please correct what went wrong in the animated by letting Zuko and Katara end up together? That almost random Aang-Katara ending totally confused me back in the day)
