I watched the film at the tail end (sorry!) of a long haul flight and arrived at LAX with swollen eyes having cried my way through much of it, which is somewhat embarrassing! I have a golden retriever who looks very like "Enzo" which was my reason for picking this to view. Yes, it is shamelessly formulaic and spoilers prevent details. But I found the acting credible and the production value good. I may well watch it again in the privacy of my own home where I can sob without disturbing anyone else!
