BEST release by the Stones since "Some Girls." There are some great tunes here, though a notch below their classic works. Nevertheless, a very strong effort worth multiple listenings -- at least! "Sweet Sounds of Heaven" is a true classic and, honestly, it's hard to single out any other songs because they're all that good! Raucous up-tempo numbers, catchy mid-tempo ones, country-infused winners -- it's all here and all of it more than worthy. Mick's voice is in top form, Keith's riffs are damn catchy, and Ronnie's solos superb! Listen and listen to Hackney Diamonds again and again. A Stones-worthy LP by any measure, to be sure!!
