I just started playing this PC game two days ago and so far I love it. I will admit I have not delved too deep into its mechanics but so far I like what I am "doing" in this game. I'm still trying to make sense what the critics have been saying about the game still having that "beta" feel to it. What I have noticed is that these critics, and they are thousands of them, wish to have a game that is specifically tailored to their own individual tastes. This becomes an impossibility for any developer or business owner to accommodate.
Here's my take on this game. It's a good game. It's not Destiny 2 and I don't think it tries to be Destiny 2. You mount on a mech warrior type exoskeleton vehicle and you go out doing quests. It is a loot based, grind game. make no mistake. You will grind, but so are all the other open-world games out there. Does it need fixes? Not sure. I have not encountered any hardware, software, or game related issues, maybe because I have an above average PC. One issue I do have is that Anthem does not have PVP. I'm not into PVP but it does help to switch things a bit for replayability.. Anthem is pure PVE.
Get this game, try it. Don't listen to the critics. Make your own decision. End of the day, you have to follow what makes you happy and not what others dictate.
