I bought it 1978 and it was a huge happening to participate in this fantastic travel Jan & Gun did, they followed in the foot steps of many explorers before them. Jans details about everything and his knowledge was incredible impressive, he was a gigant in many aspects and he did know that reading, watching and thinking is what we all need to do. We need some deep thoughts, life is not a soap opera. I love his attitude in many aspects. The book is a massive piece of historical wisdom combined with todays views, but before digitalsation. Read and enjoy!
