When I first heard of this Asterix movie, it looked interesting. The animation looks good, and the cast was pretty decent. So I took a look at it. And while I love the animation as it's smooth and colorful, the dialogue and the characters except for our stars are poorly written.

Back from watching Godzilla Minus One! Wow! What a film! An actual Godzilla film by Toho to see on the big screen for the very first time and I loved it. This is one of the best if not the Godzilla movie in years! The visuals, the story and connections, and Godzilla himself were just fantastic. This setting taking place during the post WWII not only captured the foreboding mood that the original 1954 film has. It’s more of a reboot but it was a great one. This Godzilla jumpscared me really well and I could hardly move in what ever he does to cause a massive explosion of mayhem since he supposed to be a symbol of the consequences of nuclear weapons. I recommend that if you’re a Godzilla fan you have to see this masterpiece. Thanks to the MonsterVerse (Legendary Pictures) for bringing Godzilla to the western audience and inspiring Toho to make the famous king of the monsters better than he already was. Check it out and see for yourself. 10/10!

Just got back from watching Disney’s Wish. It was a lot of fun. Catchy songs, interesting story and characters, and a great cast. Star was the biggest highlight for the movie and he was awesome. My main nitpick is that while the mixture of 2D and 3D can be amusing, at times it looks like an unfinished product of sorts. It’s a little bit too weird. I feels if it’s trying too hard to be watercolorish and the blending of computers can be easily unavoidable and distracting. And the overuse of other Disney references, it’s nothing new. It’s nice that Disney is trying something experimental with the animation, but it makes me wish it was done entirely hand drawn instead. While I don’t think it’s a masterpiece, I don’t think it’s a horrible movie. It’s a Disney film everyone deserves safe and marketable. 3/5

Disney at one of it's best. Unforgettable characters, music, and beatuifully animated. Beauty and the Beast is a great masterpiece in the early 90's. Belle is a beautiful smart young woman with a huge interest in books. The Beast is not only a hot-tempered brute, but also a tragic prince. Gaston is totally full of himself, and an arrogant villian. His sidekick LeFou always praising him for what he is, and is a bit of a rascal. Other characters like Lumiere, Cogsworth, and Mrs. Potts are also entertaining. The songs like Belle, Be Our Guest, and the Beauty and the Beast song are some the best songs of one of the great animated companies of all time. It's romantic, funny, dramatic, emotional, and enchanting. People who criticizes the film over the original fairy tale should give this one credit, because Beauty and the Beast wouldn't be made if it wasn't for Disney. Great job animators.

Two things I like about The Little Mermaid remake, are Halle Bailey, and the music. Everything else is unfortunately way down to the abyss. Awkwafina is by far the worst part of this movie because of one song that doesn't fit the source material at all (It's nobody's fault, just the execution of money grabbers hungry to remake every last one of one term that makes a film already perfect....cinematic animation). If I were you, I'd just stick with the magic of classic animation instead.

Just got back from watching the Super Mario Bros. Movie and I have to say, it was incredible! I had an absolute blast watching everything the movie has! It has funny jokes, major references, some emotional moments, a surprisingly good cast, a solid story, and the source material is far superior to the Nintendo video games! Chris Pratt and Charlie Day were fantastic as the Super Mario Bros., Anya Taylor Joy took Princess Peach into a whole new level, Keegan Michael Kay was funny as Toad, and Seth Rogen was great as Donkey Kong! But Jack Black was just remarkable as Bowser! A perfect choice! It’s colorful, it’s action packed, it’s adventurous, and it’s worth watching for all of you Nintendo fans out there! A huge success that is big enough to get a sequel in the future! 10/10!

I had mixed feelings when I first heard about the remake of Pinocchio (one of my favorite Disney movies) even after I have seen a trailer for it. And boy did it not disappoint. First, the good stuff: 1. Pinocchio (who looks and sounds just like the original), Jiminy Cricket played by Joesph Gordon Levitt (despite sounding too high at times), and Geppetto played by Tom Hanks are the only good parts of the film. 2. The film does have a few new twists that are pretty interesting. 3. The music of Alan Silvestri is very nice especially when utilizing the original songs here. But now, the bad stuff: 1. The film was rushed and lacked the spirit and adventure story that the original 1940 animated film gave us to explore. 2. Some characters including The Blue Fairy did not have enough screen time (I am not against diversity) and some characters including Stromboli and Lampwick were entirely cruel, and Monstro is suppose to be a whale, not a hybrid whale sea beast! Also in the original we explored them a little bit more. Here it's very rushed. 3. There was not a lot of moment that are as exciting as they were before. It's not the directors fault nor the cast's or composers fault. But the execution is not that great or magical. Overall, it's just another Disney remake that butters it's bread, now must sleep in it. What an utter disappointment.

Despite its nitpicks and a distracting voice cast issues (like Tiffany Darwish replacing most of Janet Waldo's lines as Judy Jetson), Jetsons the Movie is fun, and pretty enjoyable to watch for the final chapter of the original Jetsons series. There are some scenes I enjoy and the animation is solid (except on a CGI background). And as the final appearance to George O'Hanlon (George Jetson), and Mel Blanc (Mr. Spacely), this is what I consider a legendary send off to some of the greatest voice actors of all time.

As an underrated classic from the 40's that is not Disney related, Hoppity (or Mr. Bug) Goes to Town is actually real fun and decent to watch. This was done by the Fleischer Studio in one of it's final appearances, and for a movie that would introduce a story about exploring the world of bugs and insect in a situtation with humanity, this is probably the closest we can get to something new and not based on books like most of the animated films we know and love. It's a nice film. I can see this as a cult following, because this film needs some more attention.

The Bonfire of the Vanities is probably going to be one of those "So Bad, It's So Good" kinda films where everything is laughably bad but entertaining at the same time, especially with the great Tom Hanks.
