Edgy and unnerving at times, brilliant, intoxicating sound, one brief but disgusting scene I would be happier not seeing ever again, anywhere, real life dramatic stories and perfect location on Maui with its unique island mix of locals who have to tolerate onslaughts of mostly irritating mainland visitors. This series crosses multiple generations, races, genders…it crossed at least one line for me. It hits several emotional highs and lows, through incredible acting from relatively unknown actors. Should be a highly awarded series in many categories.
