There are SO many things wrong with this movie, but I’m just gonna name a few bad parts. MAJOR spoilers! 1. Asher’s assignment was wrong 2. Jonas Never went back to the nurturing center for Gabe when he was escaping 3. the community was not on a cliff in the book 4. There was not a triangle in the book where Asher, Jonas, and Fiona meet up in the center of the community 5. Jonas, and Fiona never kissed in the book 6. They changed the end 7. At the ceremony of 12’s everyone’s number was wrong 8. Jonas was almost as old as his parents 9. The giver/Jeff bridges transmitted memories differently in the movie 10. They never talked about Caleb dying 11. They skipped over half the book and half the memories 12. The triangle rocks and the map were not in the book 13. The search planes weren’t in the movie NEARLY as much as in the book 14. In the book there wasn’t the weird scene were Jonas and Fiona sled down the dome on food trays 15. there were no police that went after Jonas in the book 16. All the major events were out of order 17. Nobody even went to school like in the book 18. In the book the medication was a pill not an injection 19. Asher didn’t try to stop Jonas from escaping in the book 20. Lastly, there was no ceremony of release for Jonas in the book
