I didn't like it. It seemed mostly like a self-indulgent riff on George Clooney's fears that the human race is destined for horrific disaster. And soon.
It was a beautifully produced movie; the scenery was spectacular and believable. More so than the characters in some weird way with whom I never could really connect. I think the way the story lines were cobbled together didn't help with connecting emotionally, but also it was kind of boring, and several occurrences beggared belief, for instance, when Clooney, as an old man, along with a 7-year-old girl, somehow survived a drenching in Arctic waters at night during a storm. Or when Aether wasn't in the loop about impending disaster on earth. I don't recommend it, unless you're such a huge Clooney fan it doesn't matter what he does.
