Not sure why these two fellas were tasked with this mission when surely a plane could’ve dropped the letter off...apart from the premise it’s a brilliant movie that shows the scope of the relentless terror and terrain that two green and unknowing soldiers need to traverse in order to get a message across.

Never captured the true scale and panic of what was one of the most decisive operations of World War II. Empty beaches, a dinghy crossing the channel and prolonged 1 v 1 dog fights doesn’t do the actual event any justice.
