The book started interestingly enough with some mystery. But the ending of the book was so far fetched and ridiculous that I was very disappointed. Her Rock Paper Scissors is a much better read.

Characters were added that were not in the book. Will was not a younger son so his storyline was inaccurate. Abby wanted to drug Thomas’s mistress not Meritt. She never knows she is responsible for Meritt’s death. She does not kill Merritt at the beach . Why did the author agree to this?

The use of the “N” word was offensive and overused. Acting was disappointing. The attraction between the couple was hard to believe , but the reactions of the parents were realistic.

The story lines have been terrible this season and I have decided to stop watching the show. Last season was a little better but was disappointing toward the end of the season. The show was promising but has become a soap opera.

I enjoyed this book. It is typical of Jodi Picoult’s style: New England setting, a trial and surprise ending. Interesting how she incorporated the bee’s story line but it was at times too detailed. A very timely read.
