I actually found this spell bounding. I was clueless on who Hansen was. Noticing his arrest comes but 7 months shy of 911, I can see where this would get lost in time for a bit. Considering the severe nature of Hansen's crime's I'm also not surprised there wasn't heavy notoriety on his escapades. The movie is smooth. I really liked Phillippe and Cooper's subtleties. Even Hansen made me feel sorry for him for a second. Slick, interesting, amazingly true, I enjoyed this completely. You got to love the ending. Growing up here in Fairfax, Va we always took the FBI for granted. This made me find them more interesting and humbler. At least for this case.
