Dory Bergman

This movie is exquisitely disturbing because the events shown are entirely plausible. We’re unable and unwilling to trust anyone, we assume anyone with a minor difference has ill will, we pay too little attention to what’s important (nature, for instance), we believe in our own terrible convictions yet we demand that others fix things, there are so many ways that things can go terribly wrong yet we never believe that anything really will, and we blame China, Russia, Iran, Korea when bad things happen. Might as well hole up and watch reruns of Friends.
