I have been an ardent watcher of the BBC Travel show for years right from the beautiful and systematic presentation of late Jill Dondo.
For us ,people who are miles away from the UK prefer to have an episode in continuity and with reasonable detail. What we get today is disjointed bits of areas ,leaving one totally dissatisfied . Jill Dondo didn’t do this.
Secondly, you seem to have taken upon yourself to champion the phisically challenged. I strongly disagree with this approach. If your objective is to promote travel, then concentrate on that. It is quite often observed that a sudden change is made in the progress of the program because the anchor would not be able to proceed due to physical limitations.
The latest is the appearance of a visibly challenged gentleman. How does that interest the viewer who is interested in learning about beautiful places, their accessibility, facilities, foods, mobility etc.
I think you need to put your “eggs in one basket”, if its TRAVEL,then TRAVEL IT IS. Please refrain from mixing other social issues. Get someone like Jill .
Hope you do not take my views as “anti handicapped”, I am not but only expecting you to focus clearly on one main objective and do as much as you can to enhance is quality.
Would appreciate if I get an acknowledgement .
Yours faithfully
