Its one of the best Pakistani dramas I have seen till date.
From writing, to direction, to acting , everything is brilliant.
The Urdu Shayari at places is cherry to the cake.
Its the journey of Parizaad who is a simple, extremely honest, loyal, loving boy and is also a gifted poet.
He's born in an extremely humble background and looks very ordinary.
In a world, where looks are considered more important than character, Parizaad is humiliated, used, betrayed time and again, but he never looses his honesty.
In time , he comes in contact with a big underworld mafia and inherits his riches after his death , which he gets as reward/ token for his extreme loyalty .
However, Parizaad soon starts loosing his simple, honest, loving self, as he comes into so much power.
When the realization dawns on him, he leaves all his riches behind and goes on a self exploration journey.
The extraordinary storytelling, the beautiful cinematography, a phenomenal Ahmed Ali Akbar and a plethora of social causes covered in the drama makes Parizaad stand apart.
Some of the issues covered in the drama are -
1. Insecurity with ones skin color in today's world where people are obsessed with changing the way they look through surgeries
2. Predominance of dowry system,
3. LGBT acceptance issues in the society ,
4. Evils such as prostitution and sexual abuse affecting rich and poor alike,
5. Inadequate medical infrastructure for treatment of disabilities
6. Impoverished education systems in rural or backward areas
Dramas like "Parizaad" deserve a global audience.
