I have been impressed with Jodie Whitaker as the new Doctor, but the storylines have been awful so far. Bubble wrap, mud "witches", a miniature energy eating teddy bear, and mutant spiders? Really? Prior to the season I was curious how the first female Doctor would play out, but I am loving this edition of our favourite Time Lord. The problem is that the villains and stories so far are just plain boring and bad. There has been absolutely nothing memorable about the stories at all this season - at least nothing memorable in a good way. I've been watching since the reboot and this is the first time I don't care if I miss episodes. The only good thing Chibnall has done is giving us Jodie's doctor, but other than that a dismal season so far.
