One of my favorite movies. Kevin Costner and baseball just go perfect together. And of course Vin Scully ties everything together for this supremely underrated movie. In my opinion, the line "He's pitching against the future, against age, and even when you think about his career, against ending. And tonight I think he might be able to use that aching old arm one more time to push the sun back up in the sky and give us one more day of summer." summarizes the movie perfectly. Every time I hear that line, I choke up. A lot of people think the romance is cheesy in this movie, and to an extent it is, but it also feels somewhat real. Sam Raimi may forever be remembered for the Spider-Man Trilogy, but this is probably one of his finest works
