Only My review

I don't know why the ratings are low for this series. Till now this is best live action adaptation of any anime or cartoon. I don't like Netflix and their originals that much. But this surprised me very much. Graphics are fantastic. Direction unremarkable. One problem is have is that expressions of Katara ar very limited and voice direction could have been better. That's all. I'm in ep 2 and I love it. Will see how it goes. AHHH... I get it. I get why it has low ratings. They sucked the joy out of the original series and made a live action series. They need not have just missed crucial moment of every episode into single episode. Why mush everything together ? Ozai and Iroh are the best fitting actors for those character. Other than that everyone is mehh.. What happened to Aang's spirit. One thing he is proud of is his Airbender's spirit. They sucked it out of him. One thing that original Katara wasn't is a mumble talker. This actor just swallows the letters. Sokka looks funny but isn't funny. Zuko and Iroh's dynamic is the only best thing that came out good out of this whole shindig. Don't even talk to me about Azula. Who chose her for Azula. She has a baby face. Azula is creepy, cunning, arrogant, pompous, spoiled and fierce looking. Live action version just made her look chubby and cute.

Either the story is very easy or ice watched to MSG kdramas. It was not boring. Though not rewatchable, it was good. Older version FL's acting could have better. To be honest she looks exactly like younger version of queen. Wrong pair up. They need not have included princess treasonous plot. It was just childish. They could have just left it like, kings mother committed treason by using black magic and that's why king covered it up, to save his family. It would been plenty enough. Need not have brought princess into this. If a writer is trying define the characters towards whom we are supposed to be interested, writers should bring out many good characters or gestures or just their nice persona. Simply put character development was lacking. Many wasted potentially game changer characters. They need not have killed the Prince Yangmyeong. Totally unnecessary. He could have just renounced his title. You know like he was telling everyone a kajjilion times. Lord yun was not at all intimidating. You want intimidating watch the antagonist in 'The King's Affection'. King had too much time on his hands, but did nothing but his personal things. To be Frank everyone had too much time on their hands weren't doing particularly anything interesting. About the black magic ladies.Ufff.. if they weren't there it would have been totally fine. They contributed for nothing. They could been replaced by anyone, like doctor, Assassins, etc. This drama would just have been non-supernatural genre that's all. Nothing was contributed particularly by the witches. Seol, what a wasted character. They could have made the bond between young master and her strong first. And then later with young lady and her. Soo many episodes and they couldn't find the time to do that. Need not have killed her. No need for that at all. Need not have killed the queen. She was just in love and was manipulated by a while group of cunning old people. Everyone was just lying, lying and just lying some more. Not to just cover the truth but just to delay it. Not delay it for a long time but just delay it by days, especially after it was discovered that the crown princess was still alive. But overall can be watched without getting bored of you are bingeing. Watch it, watch it I say.

Has so much potential. I mean so much !!! Premise was very good, actors were good, cinematography was good. But Story and execution was very bad. Dialogues were mixture of masala. Few were excellent and few were just worst. It could have been a sensational hit. I couldn't sympathise with the characters, any of them. They were showing something and saying something. Intentions of the writer weren't coherent. It feels like they made superb trailer first and then built the story around it. This could been just a short story.

In-depth character development is lacking. When you're making 20 episodes, that's what the audience expects the most. The actors certainly did justice to their roles, but the costumes of the characters don't make you feel that they are real. 1) A general of an army should have a demeanor that tells you just by looking at him that he is a general. Yes, he has quick thinking, but he lacks the ability to be deep. 2) The backstory of the protagonist is just a mix of some raw material. They had a good idea, but they couldn't integrate it well into the story, I think. 3) He is not a lizard, he's a fox. Why are his eye green. Yuck. 4) Too many scenes about that corrupt vice general trying to have sleep with girls without consent. 5) Story feels deep but lack something. I'll update as I finish.

Ok, Very honest review for newbies. Is it worth watching ? Yes, yes it is. If you have two K-Dramas to watch, i'd watch this second. But I'll watch it. Slow paced but always thought provoking, so that'll keep you engaged for 16 whole episodes. I don't like this kind of audio. I don't know how to describe it. This and "it's okay to not be okay" both dreams have similar audio. I don't like it for some reason. She is sharp as a knife at all aspects in her life except from the fact that she couldn't find out that her husband was cheating on her.

I watched Goblin & I'm not a robot back to back. First Goblin & then this one. I thought this was way emotional. Story is a bit illogical & feels illegal. But I can assure whoever gave less rating are just doing it because they thought concept in itself is cringe. You need to remember this is a drama not a documentary. I say this series deserves 4.9/5.0 rating. Not less. Enjoy the way they portray the characters. I liked it a lot. If you're deleting it sucking yourself that should you watch it or not. TRUST ME AND WATCH IT. YOU'LL ENJOY IT VERY MUCH. I guess too much lying make it some what feel odd. Hey after everything said and done it is rewatchable. That's all that matters.

I went into s02 hating on the producers for not including Jang so min. Not gonna lie it's interesting how they made use of the situation that naksu is not Jang so min. Still think it would have been way better if Jan so min was there and the story was not adjusted around that. May be they realised by the end of S01 that her contract was ending and tried to get rid of Mudeok as dirty as possible so they made her go crazy and kill Jang uk. And also got rid of ber body. Imagine if her agency was smart and persuaded her enough to renew the contract and she did the series. It would have been sensational. New actress looks a lot like old actress as well. Many a time I got excited like oh she is back. Any ways Love you Jang so min. Hope you do well in your future endeavours.
