Cal Mulligan

As a science fiction writer, I can comfortably say that The Creator is the best science fiction film since the likes of Ex Machina and District 9. It's more than just vast worldbuilding and incredible visuals, it's also thought provoking and contains a real story between real characters. It may raise a question or two that go unanswered, but this is forgiven by having a tight plot, great pacing, and a great ending. It's rare to see original screenplays that take a risk these days, and even rarer when they pay off. I've added this film to my Top 10 science fiction films of all time.
