The main character, Josephine, is a spoiled arrogant brat that has zero regard for authority or even human life. Every townsperson tells her to stay out of the restricted area multiple times and of course she goes in and all hell breaks loose. The mom is equally as annoying as she says "it's not your fault". No, actually it 100% is. I was rooting for the elves the whole time. The family are all entitled jerks. The townsfolk tell them not to cut down a tree because they are in a protected area and of course they are like "who cares, screw nature and the locals" and do just that. The fact that the worst people get the happy ending is bad writing.. Skip this.

There isn't really anything scary in this ghost story. Unless you consider loud screams and flashing lights between scenes as they change the set to be scary. The direction for the July 2023 show was poor. The actors were told to screech at each other for 2 solid hours. Loud isn't interesting or dramatic. Our audience seemed bored at parts and the ending is so contrived it feels like a low effort M.Night Shyamalan knock-off.
