Glasgurd's first novel has metaphors of imagery describing everyday life, culture and scenes... she has skilfully painted the anguish of Helena, Descartes' lover, so masterfully. I was devastated to come to the end of this novel, based on historical facts of the lesser known passions of the French philosopher.
