As an individual who was deeply involved with this franchise, this was nothing but a disappointment to me. Ice age one had a simple yet unique plot it carried out the story well and there weren't too many characters, you could actually relate and create bonds with them. I really liked ice age two as well, again, not too many characters this plot was a bit different but still enjoyable I liked the character development and the respect Ellie and Manny had with each other I also like how in the end he chose to be with her because he wanted to, not because he had to. It was a nice heartwarming movie. Ice age three had a bit of a stretch to its story but it was understandable, the plot was unique a bit strange but I went along with it, I wish near the end of ice age two they added a little scene of where you hear a dinosaur's roar and a red-eye open right before the screen turns to black (rudys) it would have created suspense and made a little more sense, either way really enjoyed the characters were on-point and the story's pace was good. Ice age 4 was my favorite it was really enjoyable and it's jokes were clever this movie also had a bit of a weird plot, I'd say a bit whacky but okay. The characters were even more enjoyable the suspense was real and I was fully engaged throughout the movie, it's one of those movies where you can watch it again and again and you won't get bored. Ice age 5... Was horrible first of all they really really tried to make it funny so they added as much as characters as possible, granny Shira, Diego, etc. Most of them only had a few lines, Shira, barely even spoke and their plot twists were too much first Scrat caused the world to almost end by causing the asteroid, then you find out people are living inside these asteroids to stay young?! Like I mean I get ice age 4 was weird but this... This is too much. Julian was first introduced as the weird quirky kinda guy and I was all for it, but he didn't really seem likable there was nothing really special about him. The characters would compliment him so we would have to believe he's like that. In all honesty, he didn't do much other than him cheering Peach up, it was cute and all but it was repeated again and again. Second I really feel like it would've been better if Manny was separated with Julian this way we could know more about Julian and Manny would get to know him more thus making his feelings towards Julian real, either way terrible movie I'm getting tired of typing (also) Peaches didn't really care about anyone else all she was afraid about was her wedding "WHAT IF WE DONT GET MARRIED??" Like dude, is that all you care about.
