Guinevere Webb

This is for real one of my favorite shows! I like season one and two the best, season three is more magical and unrealistic, plus Emma is absent. I don't watch season three at all because it's my least favorite, so I won't really talk about it. This show is cool because even though the characters are mermaids, it's not cringey. The three main characters, Cleo, Emma, and Rikki face challenges every episode, even problems not related to their mermaidness. It's relatable, and the jokes are actually funny. Some jokes that I didn't get as a kid, I get now. Lewis and his awkwardness is so funny. By season two all three of the girls have matching lockets, which they wear every day. Cleo can shape and control water, Emma can freeze water, and Rikki can boil water (their powers actually match their personalities). They're just another symbol of their friendship. I love the early 2000s surf theme going on as well. You can see the characters develop as the show goes on. Cleo learns to put herself out there, Emma learns to open up and relax, and Rikki learns to calm down and be there for others. The characters are so iconic. I will forever love this show!

I love this show so much! I watch it on Netflix. There is never a part where I cringe because of the acting. All of the actors are great, and their characters are hilarious! I laugh at least half an episode. I like how Ray and Lisa (the parents) always roast each other, how Tia and Tamera work together, and how Roger is always saying, "sweet thing!" This series shows that two families with different backgrounds can get along and live happily.
