First quarter of the book is good but after a while the plot goes nowhere and the dialogue irritating - I suspect the author has never met or talked to a law enforcement officer in his life! The ludicrous names go from mildly entertaining to downright irritating. The fact that this book was published in 2021 and is set against the history of racial conflict in the USA is the only reason this book has received such praise.
