A haunting and beautiful story of love and human tenderness and longing enfolded in words that truly bring you to your senses and your knees. Descriptions of the Australia flora and fauna unlike any I have read and will never forget. An an immigrant to Australia in my twenties, her poetry capturing the noise and colour of the birds was awe inspiring and felt so true. This will be one I will read again.
