Kat Woman

Not a huge fan I’m afraid. I had high hopes with a cast that included Affleck, Johnson and Segal but the mumbly darkness of this film makes it difficult to watch. Subject matter aside, the jumps in timeline are annoying - half way through I couldn’t fathom whereabouts in time we were supposed to be (despite the clumsy ‘typing’ out of the date). I’m around 2/3 the way through and not sure I can finish. Shame.

Just binge watched this series for the second time and cried just as much as the first. Great portrayal by the cast of an unbearably sensitive subject by all concerned. Sheen and Horgan never fail to deliver. Although the actress who played the older daughter gave a fine performance, I felt she was mis-cast purely due to her age. For me, she came across as far too Worldly-wise for a teenager and didn’t look like one either.

A big fan of both Dinklage and Fanning but this movie was self indulgent, slow, morbid and a waste of their talents. The direction was disconnected and oftentimes confusing. Watched to the end but was none the wiser about the plot. Particularly disturbing was the disrespectful way the dead bodies were thrown into the graves. Worth a watch if you have the patience.

What a tragic waste of these two leading actors talents.

Excellent performances acting-wise from Ronan and Mescal (and Pierre for that matter) but this film is beyond confusing and unutterably dull. I wanted to give up around one-third of the way through but kept thinking that it MUST improve. Sadly not. Only watch if you want to be depressed.

A complete waste of Colman and Redgrave’s remarkable respective talents. Predictable, lazy writing.

Terrible acting and dialogue. The storyline is gripping enough to keep you watching. That’s it. How did this ever get commissioned for a fourth season?

Loved the first series and so pleased they decided to make a second. Everything great except the very unlikely ‘romance’ between Aussie female cop and Jamie’s Irish character. The female Aussie ruined it for me. Very annoying character.

Worth a watch. Quite compelling viewing as Keoghan’s character grows more and more creepy. The whole premise of this movie is quite not-believable but the execution and the performances are great. Spoiler alert - the dance at the end is well worth the wait!

Couldn’t make it through more than an hour of this movie. I don’t know the director and have read others reviews so maybe there’s something that’s completely gone over my head? This film is not the least bit entertaining. I love Farrell, Keoghan and Kidman, but the delivery of the lines and the camera angles etc are far too creepy. A very disturbing film. Not for me thanks.
