So any one who hasn't seen the borderlands movie yet don't read the reviews. As a avid fan an gamer of the franchise this movie does not fit into the game series canon I would say it's set before pre sequel and bl 1,2,3. I'd say it's a origin story of the lead cast. But it definitely pays homage to the franchise 100%
