With a negligible budget and a target audience of family and friends, this movie is more enjoyable than many recent big budget comedic productions. The over-the-top acting, plot and bizarrely bad visuals ironically make you enjoy the movie because it becomes obvious that despite a lack of talent and technical quality, they made up for it with a raw and genuine care for the project. What you end up with is this comedy-action movie that you laugh at because it's so bad at first but then appreciate more and more as you revisit it and learn more about it's production. Sure, a professional critic could technically analyze it and it would be very fundamentally flawed but it's got that aim to entertain that you just don't get enough of nowadays. We should be glad that meme culture popularized this movie.
