Over the top, too campy if that’s possible, and losses it’s way half way through! Loved Michael Keaton and thought Jack Nicholson was a joke, pardon the pun!

Totally miss cast! Cher could have played the Frankie part with a crack smile and not so ddddrrrraaaaammmmaaaatttiiiiccc. Michelle Pfeiffer and Al Pacino, both great actor, but not in these roles! Played with too much drama, no light comedic touch. Ugh. It was pure slog! Sorry, I’m sure Gary Marshall thought the same thing after looking at the first daily’s.

It is not Jane Austen, more like Dickens with a dose of modern day evil. I love Andrew Davies but he’s missed the mark on this one! Such high hopes, but no.
