Pretty good I think Messi was the best character.

Compared to Tenki no Ko and Kimi no Nawa, I think this would be Shinkai's most unique take on a romance adventure story yet. It combines elements from both of the previous films, but still makes something incredibly unique, mixing Japanese folklore as well as Natural Disasters (something that a Japanese person would resonate deeply with). This all makes for a touching and gripping story, and when paired with amazing animation and a great soundtrack, Suzume no Tojimari easily becomes one of the top Movies I've seen this year alone, and perhaps one of the top Anime movies I've seen in the past few years as well.
