This album is truly a masterpiece. What most people call chaotic a true musician calls skill. The arrangements are insane. Matt's voice has changed but to me that's good. No 2 albums should sound the same and that's something that A7X has always done. Drastically changed the thier sound from album to album.
Though you do hear some of what they learned with the stage. Most of it is completely different from anything they ever done. Which is also a good thing. Experimentation and stepping outside the box is a positive not a negative. It takes a lot of balls to step outside the box and try something different.
They've taken everything they've learned from the beginning and made a true masterpiece. From the classical riff on "Game over" to the poppy sounds of "Easier" to the haunting Piana of ".... Life is but a dream". This album may not be what some people wanted. But it's definitely what we needed. The fact that they're not going by the mainstream, and doing what every other band is doing is a testament of the true talent and nature of the Huntington beach band. Keep up the good work guys.
