I wish I could reply to other people's comments. It's amazing that there are people who think this movie is really good. I enjoy a Michael Bay movie as much as the next person, but the plot in this movie would be impossible for anyone to make it work.
The whole bank robbery and escape/shootout was so poorly thoughtout and executed that it's difficult to take the movie seriously. This is supposed to be a professional bank robber, whose father was a bank robber, yet somehow they attempted the worst plan ever. The planning of the bank robbery is equivalent to the idea of hijacking an ambulance to try save one cop as they shoot at and plow through countless other cops to do it. Performing major surgery in an ambulance while in a high speed chase. The flaws in this plot are too numerous to list them all.
Jake Gyllenhaal is an amazing actor, but even he couldn't put a shine on this turd. I honestly don't know how this has such high reviews. I'm usually a pretty forgiving critic, but the choices in this movie are terrible.
