Frances Narvaez

Poignant, moving, extraordinary. There is something so surreal and so beautiful about this film; I cannot count how many times I've seen it. It is truly a masterpiece, one that tells the story of a time lost and found, the innocence of first love, the beauty of family and relationships. The cinematography is impeccable; the use of lighting and imagery captures the beauty of northern Japan with so much sentiment. The music is the pièce de résistance of this film; it moves with every rhythm of the story. This one is for the books; one that history will always love.

Absolutely love it. Poignant, striking, heart-wrenching. Judi Dench, of course, performed wonderfully as Queen Victoria, and Ali Fazal delivers a great performance as Abdul. One of my favourite movies.
