Growing up in Von Erich country (Tyler), I had the opportunity to meet Fritz and Doris at there home in Edom ,Tx. About 10 miles west of Tyler. They lived in Denton area where my Grandmother baby sat the boys when they were very young. The movie is not exactly accurate. But no movie that is about a person or family is. Kerry's foot was NOT all lost, only the toes and a portion of the foot. Mike was not found on there property. Kerry was found further out on there property at Lake Dallas. They also left out there younger brother. Chris. He also wrestled for a bit, not long though because of his health issues. I knew Chris before he went into wrestling. Fritz had moved to Edom along with Chris and Chris took driving lessons from my friends father in Tyler and that's how I met Chris. I was a little upset that they did not include him in the movie. He did play a roll in the family. Unfortunately he succumbed to the "curse" and ended his own life at the Edom,Tx. property. Kevin found him and he was taken to a Tyler hospital, but he had already died. The Adkisson's were a loving family. I know that they are with God. Please go see the movie, it is good even with the small inaccuracies.
