I truly enjoyed this book but then did not. Many people carry the burden that the 3 sisters did but go on with life. They all used it as a crutch. A bit overdone. Loved the descriptive writing of beach and marshes. Characters very real. No clarification on Coleens marriage. Alex a strong character. Riley and Caleb situation hard to believe! A few times author has inconsistencies.. e.g. Riley wishing her friend who loaned her apartment had a bed. But she remembered it had bed ugs so threw it out. Then next sentence she sits up and gets out of bed. Alex is sad she cannot be there at nights to tuck Caleb into bed. Then 2 sentences later she is, as always, tucking him in bed. and sitting with him til he goes to sleep. Overall a good read.
