The only people who are giving this movie 5 stars are the people who haven't read the book. This movie was a slap in the face to readers. Most of the book details the struggles of a little girl growing up in the marsh by herself in great detail, but instead they made this movie into a Notebook wannabe. It somehow was both fast paced and slow at the same time, maybe because I kept checking to see how much of it was left. Thank God I watched it for free.
