It sounds very compelling not just for seasoned historians but to those of us who have mostly heard the summarized versions of the primary conflicts within the six year war. There was so much leading up to our unfortunate forced entry into the war and even after Hitler died. What a stark contrast to today’s “Putin War” when we were actively and substantially supporting the Soviets/Stalin to win against a common enemy. In the end there was so much loss yet Stalin’s Soviet Union and Communism were the major beneficiaries of WW2.
