The show started out strong and seemingly had a great storyline as others have mentioned. My biggest issue is the casting of these overly diverse and too old cast members. First, I live in Boulder, Colorado, (grew up in Chicago) Boulder and Colorado in general is unfortunately Not that diverse, especially the small towns in Colorado. The other issue is everyone casted playing these young high school kids are all in their twenties (21 - 26) clearly it is hard to digest these adults are still in high school dealing with young issues that HS kids do. Cole is especially much older making his character hard to connect as a dried up football hero sleeping with every girl in school.
I just wish the casting was more realistic with actors that were actually in the teens. Don't get me wrong, I love diversity and get home to Chicago as much as I can but this story is way off track on reality.
