It might not be appropriate to call myself one of the biggest fans of Roger Federer, I am probably just another admirer of his. Whatever the case may be, Federer's farewell was one of the most beautiful things I have ever witnessed (obviously, on television 🤪). Heartbreaking, yet beautiful! If I remember correctly, I was up till 05:30 in the morning to watch it. As usual, I cried when I saw him cry. It was heartening to see the greatest of his rivals — Nadal, Djokovic and Murray — tearing up and playing in the same team as his. I bet you won't see that in any other sport! And Federer has to be credited for this! He is the reason I fell in love with the sport and took it up. Besides, him telling one of his daughters that he wasn't sad, rather happy; him telling Jim Courier that it had been a peRFect journey for him and that he would do it all over again; him holding Nadal's hand 😂 — all of it was just as he described it — truly a celebration!
So, I was naturally looking forward to watching his documentary! And to be honest, I was quite disappointed! They skipped a lot of important moments from the farewell. There were of course a few I hadn't seen before. Still, it could have been so much better! May be I expected too much from it. Nevertheless, I can watch anything related to Federer. He is such an inspiration! I would recommend everyone to watch it once, too. That's why the high ratings! 🙈
