The special effects ARE cheesy. The story wasn’t written well at all. They must have been well financed to get all those top notch actors to star in this movie. Yes Supergirl is really cute and Helen Slater did a fairly good job despite the script. It does create an interest in reading some of the Supergirl comics. I am a fan of the Supergirl TV series. If you haven’t seen it then watch it just to see all the famous actors but once is enough.
