Poor, imprecise controls and sketchy input reading ruin what should be a tight action game. They wanted to make Hollow Knight X Sekiro but Nine Sols is less than the sum of those games.

I loved this but I'm a total sucker for the classic "aging exorcist fights a demon and trains a protege" style of exorcism movie, which is nearly all of them. Say what you want about Crowe, but he's a top-notch actor and he nails the role, same for a mostly solid supporting cast, especially the main boy who was possessed. Nothing too mind-blowing in this yarn but the special effects were fun and I was satisfied with the ending. I might have to read some of this dude's books and I'm not even Catholic.

Awful movie that has no idea what it wants to be. A couple of cheap scares keep some tension up in the oh-so-slow-of-a-burn first half and then the second half is a totally different and far less scary film. Implied horror can be very effective in the right hands but this movie needed way more payoff after dragging things out as it does. The most Barbaric thing about Barbarian is its painful pacing, contrived twists, and its aspirations to be so much more than then boring creature feature it ultimately is. The film is relevant as part of some running themes in Justin Long's career, but that is it.

Terrible Sekiro knockoff. Just go play Sekiro again. It's a crime that they charged full price for Wo Long.

Great little Metroidvania. Very Sekiro- like in that you'd better learn those parry windows or life will be very hard. Some great bosses elevate the game but the obscure, surreal story has little meat on the bone. Still, 5/5 and a solid rec. Last couple of bosses are phenomenal.
