It did not make sense for Zoe to settle in as his ‘wife’ and become part of the story. Everyone I spoke to gave up on this series after episode 3. And it is a shame, love Jeff & the dogs!

It is slow, with lingering shots of inconsequential events, yet these exposures add depth and authenticity to the era. However, it is mentioned the setting is Oregon and the opening credits state the event takes place in the Nortwest Territory in 1820 but Oregon was established in 1859. With that aside, the acting was superb. A sweet movie.
