I enjoyed the first episode as it gave a fuller look at Harry's background while setting the stage for future episodes with excellent portrayals of the franchises' original characters. Molly Brown channeled Deb perfectly. Her mannerisms, f-bombs, and exaggerated tones were a treat. Also, Michael C. Hall's narration & the end-credit music were pure nostalgia. I did not give five stars because I felt Dex's high school years needed more examination. Also, the 'angel of mercy' did not say 'Mr. Tinker Stinker,' and the kill scene lacked the awkward charm that it had in the original series. That said, Dexter: Original Sin is entertaining and I look forward to its storyline arc.
